Speaks Law Firm is a well established personal injury firm with offices located in both Wilmington, North Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina. We have recently experienced a lot of growth and are adding to our team of attorneys. Our firm is committed to client satisfaction; therefore candidates must have solid personal injury experience. We are looking for a North Carolina licensed Attorney who is in early to mid-career. Acting as an assertive advocate for our clients, you would be joining our team to handle auto liability, premises liability, and commercial claims.
Responsibilities
Drafting lawsuits, drafting and responding to discovery, taking depositions, and conducting mediations and trials.
Work closely within the litigation team to guide the work of the paralegals and be support to the senior managing attorneys for civil litigation and Camp Lejeune clients.
Determine case strategies and solutions to serve client's needs after analysis
Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action.
Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as briefs, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence.
Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
Qualifications
5+ years of Personal Injury Litigation experience
Proficiency in writing, research, and negotiation
Experience with case management software and documentation, specifically Needles Neos
Must be able to handle complex caseloads with little supervision
Must be an active member of the NC bar association
Superb negotiation skills and experience
Compensation
$75,000 - $90,000 yearly PLUS any negotiated commission/incentive structure, which depends on qualifications
