The Opportunity: Part of a flagship Litera Product Team, You will participate in the full SDLC from preliminary system analysis to testing and deployment. This role includes building high-quality and fully performing software that meets quality and software development standards alongside a great team.
Role Responsibilities:
Active contributor to the codebase
Refactor existing software
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
Ability to work independently without instructions on most tasks
Strong team player who is open to give and receive feedback
A passion for technology and thrives in a dynamic environment with a focus on creative innovation over absolute completion
Work in an Agile software development environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban), participating in commitment, retrospective and planning meetings
Attendance during regular work hours and overtime as required
Participate in requirements reviews
Apply generally accepted development and quality assurance standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation
Able to contribute to design and decision making in all areas
Role Progression:
Within 1 month, you will:
Complete the Litera onboarding process
Familiarize yourself with the team's processes and best practices to ensure streamlined ways of working
Become a working member of a product team
Within 3 months, you will:
Become proficient with the existing product, codebase, and technologies
Understand strengths and weaknesses of the current product architecture and be able to participate in a discussion on possible next steps
Within 6 months, you will:
Gain expert knowledge of some areas of the codebase and underlying technologies
Share your knowledge as needed and contribute to the overall development of the team and product
Qualifications:
Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
4+ years of experience using a modern object-oriented language (C# strongly preferred)
2+ years experience with SQL, EF, LINQ
Experience in crafting robust scalable APIs
Experience in SaaS software development
Some experience with Cloud technologies (Azure preferred)
Some experience with Lucene, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or similar search services
Good communication and presentation skills
