As a Cloud FinOps Engineer, you’ll be part of the dynamic cloud computing team, continuously innovating and enhancing our cloud financial controls and optimization strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that we extract maximum value from every dollar spent in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Cost Optimization:
- Deeply understand cloud-based services usage and pricing, particularly in AWS and Azure.
- Bridge the gap between finance and technology, ensuring efficient cloud usage/spend.
- Analyze spending trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide specific improvement recommendations.
- Collaborate with distributed teams to influence cloud usage strategy and execution.
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience with APIs, UIs, and automation.
- Familiarity with FinOp technologies
- Previous work in a mature agile environment.
- PowerBI
Collaboration and Insights:
- Collaborate effectively across teams to drive cost optimization discussions.
- Synthesize analysis and research into strategic insights and practical recommendations.
- Independently manage deliverables with efficiency.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure).
