Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Junior Marketing Data Analyst to join our growing marketing team. In this role, you will leverage data analytics to support marketing initiatives and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes across our marketing operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret marketing data to enhance campaign effectiveness, drive customer engagement, and optimize our marketing spend in the competitive legal technology market.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $45,000 to $58,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Litera offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, clean, and analyze marketing data from multiple sources including web analytics, CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and social media channels
- Develop and maintain marketing dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including lead generation, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and marketing ROI
- Prepare weekly and monthly marketing performance reports for stakeholders
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights in marketing data to inform strategic decisions
Campaign Analysis & Optimization
- Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns across various channels (email, paid search, social media, content marketing, events)
- Conduct A/B testing and analyze results to optimize campaign performance
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns by providing data-driven recommendations
- Monitor competitor marketing activities and industry trends to identify opportunities
- Assist in marketing attribution modeling to understand the customer journey
Market Research & Customer Intelligence
- Conduct market research to identify trends in the legal technology industry
- Analyze customer behavior, preferences, and segmentation to improve targeting
- Support customer surveys and analyze feedback to enhance marketing strategies
- Research and evaluate new marketing tools and technologies
- Assist in developing buyer personas and customer journey maps
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives
- Support the marketing team with ad-hoc analysis and data requests
- Collaborate with the demand generation team to optimize lead scoring and nurturing programs
- Assist in budget tracking and marketing spend analysis
- Participate in the development of marketing forecasts and planning
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in marketing analytics, data analysis, or related role
- Internship or project experience in data analysis is a plus
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data manipulation
- Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
- Understanding of statistical analysis and basic statistical concepts
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms
Marketing Knowledge
- Understanding of digital marketing channels and metrics (SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media)
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) is a plus
- Basic understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Knowledge of B2B marketing fundamentals and the SaaS business model
