This position is based in Chicago, IL and candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance, as this role requires on-site presence at least three days per week .This hybrid approach enables us to build a collaborative and innovative work environment while maintaining the flexibility that supports both productivity and work-life balance. Overview:
As a Revenue Manager at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end revenue accounting in accordance with ASC 606 and internal policies.
- Review and approve complex revenue arrangements, multi‑element contracts, and non‑standard terms.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure the accuracy of deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and contract asset balances.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls related to revenue recognition.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and FP&A to ensure alignment across the order-to-cash workflow.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing explanations and documentation.
- Supervise and mentor revenue accounting staff.
- Review team deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct experience with revenue recognition.
- CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606.
- Experience with SaaS, subscription, or services-based revenue models.
- Proficiency with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in working in teams, and a desire to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders of different seniority across group and individual business units.
- Strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to solving problems and driving progress.
- Good ability to manage a workload spread across a variety of projects and workstreams and prioritize key actions.
- Management experience leading accounting teams.
- Experience in hyper-growth, equity-backed SaaS companies.

Pay Transparency Notice for Location(s) Applicants:
The annual salary range for this position is $100,000- - $130,000. Actual compensation is determined by factors including education, work experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications. Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company contribution, and incentive and recognition programs. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
