This position is based in Denver and candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance, as this role requires on-site presence at least three days per week. Overview: As a Scrum Master at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coach scrum teams in using Agile methodologies and scrum practices, events and roles
Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
Model key values that make a scrum team successful: commitment, courage, focus, openness, and respect
Facilitation and supports all Scrum events; Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospectives
Drive effective communication and collaboration within Scrum Teams and stakeholders, acting as the team's spokesperson and liaison with other departments when needed
Proactive escalation and removal of impediments, risks and issues to increase team effectiveness and efficiency
Foster a positive, psychologically safe environment and team dynamic that enables efficient and effective collaboration
Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
Protect the scrum team from unnecessary distractions or interference, keeping them focused to the agreed sprint goal(s)
Promote a culture of openness, respect, and transparency among team members
Guide the scrum team to self-organize and encourage continuous improvement.
Monitor teams' progress against established goals
Build and analyse data lead metrics to aid team performance awareness and drive improvements
Identify, track, and help facilitate the resolution of dependencies and risks
Deployment communication management with key stakeholders across the business
Contribute to the continued growth and improvement of Agile practices within the organisation by working with other Scrum Master/Teams
Develop a strong understanding of the team's project context
Knowledge, skills and competencies
You will be a natural and engaging communicator, able to influence and bring the team on the journey while driving them to deliver high quality output. Your approach to work will be forward-looking, detail oriented and with a strong drive for results.
Preferred Skills:
Relevant Professional qualification eg Certified Scrum Master, Advance Certified Scrum Master, Certified Agile Coach
Strong leadership skills
Demonstrable experience exemplifying and promoting Agile frameworks and principles
Several years' experience working as a Scrum Master in a software team and ideally working in multiple teams, across multiple products.
An excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of ready and done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
Experience working with both time-boxed and feature-boxed/duration releases
Exceptional facilitation, communication, interpersonal and coaching/mentoring skills
Encourage team focus by holding the team to their own definition of ready and done, by encouraging full team participation during all scrum events
Ability to analyse and think quickly and to resolve conflict
Ability to adapt to a changing environment
Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
Experienced in building team relationships and injecting an element of fun
Experience using Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence)
Desirable:
Legal tech sector industry experience advantageous
Ability to work with other Scrum Masters to grow within the role

Pay Transparency Notice for Colorado Applicants:
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation is determined by factors including education, work experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications. Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company contribution, and incentive and recognition programs. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
