Overview: The Workday Business Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of our Workday system. This role requires a seasoned professional who can ensure system reliability, implement best practices, and support business process improvements across HR, payroll, and all talent management functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration & System Support
- Configure Workday functional areas including HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, and Recruiting modules
- Assist with business process configurations, security role assignments, and custom report development
- Support data conversions, integrations, and system testing activities
- Maintain system documentation and configuration guides
- Participate in Workday release testing and upgrade activities
- Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements
- Translate business needs into Workday configuration specifications
- Conduct gap analysis between current state processes and Workday functionality
- Document business processes, workflows, and system requirements
- Support change management activities and user communication
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test scripts for configuration changes and new functionality
- Coordinate user acceptance testing with business users
- Identify and document system defects and enhancement requests
- Validate data integrity and system performance post-configuration changes
- Training & Support
- Provide support for Workday-related issues and questions
- Create and maintain user guides, job aids, and training materials
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience working with Workday as a business analyst, super user, or similar role
- Experience with HR business processes and system implementations preferred
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) Workday Pro Certification required (HCM Core, Recruiting, or Talent Management)
- Proficiency in Workday configuration tools and reporting capabilities
- Strong Excel skills and experience with data analysis and manipulation
- Understanding of security frameworks and role-based access controls
